Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission Website

case study

Problem

JEDCO wanted to re-design their website to reflect the growing technology and business climate in Louisiana, as well as engage their end users with easily accessible information about economic development initiatives.

Solution

We designed and built a responsive website that allowed JEDCO the ability to deliver large quantities of economic development information to the public in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand and navigate. We developed a custom theme in WordPress and configured a dedicated server environment allowing them to also house sensitive data in secure areas hidden from public view.

My Role

  • Project and Product Manager
  • Linux Server Administrator
  • Post-launch Support

I worked as the project and product manager, connecting our design team and JEDCO’s marketing and management teams. I spent time understanding the needs of the client, communicating those needs to our team, arriving at a scope of services and features needed, developing a roadmap for delivery, and ensuring its successful execution. From there, we successfully built the site out on budget and on time. I also configured a dedicated Linux server for JEDCO to allow them to securely store sensitive data for internal use.
